Project Background
Upholding the core philosophy of "respecting children’s nature and creating a safe, fun growth space", Shanghai Hongkou Kindergarten partnered with Wenzhou Bailu Amusement Equipment Co., Ltd. to customize a set of outdoor play facilities tailored to kindergarten teaching scenarios, building an exclusive activity world for children that integrates exploration, exercise, and social interaction.
Design Concept
Inspired by the theme "Forest Train · Childlike Wanderlust", the project combines warm wood tones, fresh macaron blue, and pure white lines to create an interactive play platform shaped like a "train carriage". Winding paths, fun slides, climbing nets, and swing devices form multi-level exploration routes that cater to the activity needs of young children. Soft colors and safety-focused details create a warm and lively campus atmosphere, allowing children to release their nature and grow happily through play.
Core Play Facility Highlights
Themed Train-Shaped PlatformThe elevated platform, modeled after a "forest train", features an arched transparent carriage and an orange-white locomotive design that perfectly aligns with children’s fairy-tale imagination. Constructed from food-grade, eco-friendly materials with smooth, rounded edges, the platform is surrounded by full-enclosure white safety railings to provide a secure play space while serving as an iconic landscape of the campus.
Fun Spiral Slide & Multi-Route Play PathsThe platform is equipped with a light blue spiral slide on one side. The smooth chute design ensures safe sliding, and the soft color adds a playful touch. On the other side, winding wooden walkways and staircases connect to the platform, complemented by climbing nets and stepping facilities in between. This forms a complete exploration route of "climbing – walking – sliding", helping children develop limb coordination and spatial perception as they move through different paths.
Child-Friendly Interactive DevicesThe play area includes hanging swings and balance paths suitable for young children. The swings feature anti-tip designs, while the balance paths help children build balance skills. These devices satisfy children’s curiosity and exercise needs in a safe, controlled environment, supporting the development of their gross motor skills.
Comprehensive Safety Protection SystemThe ground combines EPDM eco-friendly rubber flooring and artificial turf. The rubber floor is non-slip and shock-absorbent, effectively reducing the risk of bumps and falls, while the artificial turf area offers a natural, soft surface for running and playing. All facilities adopt rounded corner designs with no exposed sharp parts, fully complying with safety standards for kindergarten play equipment.
